These feathers are dyed from turky feathers and are can be used for smudging or the tips can be cut and fasioned into a pen tip (you sort of cut the tip of quill on an angle. Don't make it too big, it will really make for a broad messy writing) I always try it out first to see how well or not it does on its own.
